Why Fly Out of Buffalo?

Three Reasons Toronto Passengers Take the Drive

Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) is two to two and a half hours from Toronto before the border. A lot of GTA passengers make that drive every week. Here is why.

01
Fares That Are Hundreds Less

Southwest Airlines and other US domestic carriers fly out of BUF at price points you cannot match from Toronto Pearson. On many US routes, the fare difference pays for the limo and then some. The math works for trips to Florida, Vegas, Chicago, and most of the US Sun Belt.

02
Direct Flights That Do Not Exist at YYZ

Several US cities have direct service from BUF that only connect through a hub from Toronto Pearson. If your itinerary has a tight same-day connection, a direct BUF departure removes one flight leg and the layover risk.

03
A Smaller Airport with a Faster Floor

Buffalo Niagara is a fraction of Pearson's size. Security lines move faster, gate distances are short, and boarding does not require a 20-minute walk through a terminal. Once you clear the border and arrive, the airport itself is straightforward.

The Border Crossing

We Pick the Bridge. You Sit Back.

Most Buffalo Airport trips cross at the Peace Bridge from Fort Erie to Buffalo. It puts you directly on the 190 toward BUF and typically saves about 20 minutes over the Lewiston-Queenston route. When the Peace Bridge line is bad, we switch to Lewiston-Queenston. Your driver checks live wait times before leaving your pickup address.

Border wait times are the one variable we cannot fully control. Light weekday morning crossings run 15 to 20 minutes. Busy Friday afternoons or long weekends can stretch to 60 to 90 minutes. We build your departure time around that reality: leave 3.5 hours before your BUF flight time. That is not overly cautious. That is what this route actually requires.

Bridge tolls and all crossing fees are included in your flat rate. No extras at the border.

Border Documents

Every Passenger Needs Their Own Documents

The driver handles vehicle and commercial paperwork at the crossing. Everyone else in the car is responsible for their own travel documents. A missing document at the border is a missed flight. Check before you leave.

Buffalo Airport Transfer Questions

Toronto to Buffalo Airport Limo FAQ

Common questions about the cross border limo trip from Toronto and the GTA to Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF).

The drive from central Toronto to Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. That number does not include the border crossing. Peace Bridge wait times range from 15 minutes to over an hour, depending on the day and lane availability. We tell clients to allow 3.5 hours before their BUF flight time. That is not overly cautious; that is what the route actually requires.
The main reason is price. Southwest and other US carriers flying from BUF often charge hundreds less than the same route from Toronto Pearson. BUF also offers direct flights to US destinations that only connect through a hub from YYZ. On most US trips, the limo cost gets offset by the fare savings.
We use the Peace Bridge for most Buffalo Airport trips. It runs from Fort Erie directly toward BUF and cuts about 20 minutes off the route compared to Lewiston-Queenston. If the Peace Bridge has a bad lineup, we go Lewiston-Queenston instead. Your driver checks wait times before leaving your pickup address and takes whichever crossing is moving.
Every passenger in the vehicle needs to present their own documents at the border. Canadian citizens need a valid Canadian passport or NEXUS card. Permanent residents need their PR card and passport. Foreign nationals need a passport plus any applicable US visas. The driver handles vehicle crossing paperwork. Do not assume someone else in the car is responsible for your documents.
The flat rate from central Toronto to BUF starts at approximately $475 CAD for a sedan. Confirmed at booking. Bridge tolls included. The rate does not change for border delays. Call +1 (437) 979-8177 for a quote from your specific address.
Yes. BUF to Toronto is just as available as Toronto to BUF. For arrivals, your driver tracks the flight and meets you inside the BUF terminal with a name sign. The return crossing back into Canada at Fort Erie is included in the flat rate. Book at least 24 hours in advance so we can coordinate your arrival window.
